Unlicensed Driver Crashes Day Care Van Injuring Children

TEXAS:

A Kids Clubhouse day care van swerved around a stopped car, running a red light and was struck by an SUV. The impact of the crash caused the van to roll over onto its side. The driver of the SUV had two small children passengers. Both drivers were unlicensed.

In addition to both drivers being unlicensed, the van’s passengers were not wearing seat belts and the van was carrying 20 children instead of the maximum of 14.

The accident sent 13 children to the hospital, including the children passengers of the SUV. The van driver will face charges for not requiring the children to buckle up, as well as multiple traffic violations. None of the children's injuries were life threatening, though some were quite serious.
