Demotion for Bronx Prosecutor Jennifer Troiano After DWI Charge

MAY 2011, The Bronx, New York—A Bronx prosecutor has been transferred to a bureau reserved for problem prosecutors after being charged with DWI and the suspected skirting of two earlier arrests.

Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson personally ordered Jennifer Troiano's transfer to the Appeals Bureau after the Daily News reported her troubled history. "It's where they hide problem ADAs," one source said of the bureau. "It is a rubber room of sorts. They go there and no one hears from them again."
